Necessities of Life

It's fairly easy to assume that the necessities for life when humans lived in cavers were food, shelter and love (for the propagation of the species) - being those parts of living absolutely necessary to keep the person and the species going.

I’m sure that nowadays most people would agree that “living” involves far more than simply waking every day and staying alive for the next 24 hours.

Whoever first coined the phrase “Life is for living” would not have considered that living simply involved keeping your head and lungs operational, although some members of the medical professions might disagree.

Wealth is not and never should be considered a “necessity” for living, which for those driven by greed or envy, would include driving a Rolls instead of a Toyota, and drinking champers instead of beer.
